RARE Vintage 1960s CARTIER 31mm Silver 925 Manual Wind 17 Jewel Watch. This is a very rare 1960s CARTIER "Ronde Style" Sterling Silver (925) Watch. It has a 31mm sterling silver case in good condition just with some marks from wear and age. The lugs are around 16mm and it has the original Cartier winding crown with black cabochon. The case back is clearly marked Cartier with the 925 sterling silver hallmarks and number 10 00136 (also hallmark between the lug).
The inside case back is marked 11715. The dial is very recognisable as a Cartier traditional design in great condition all white with black roman numbers and inner second track and black hands. The crystal also appears clear. Inside the watch is powered by a Cartier 17 Rubies manual wind movement (Swiss AS 1760 97B) and it appears clean and running well, but with all vintage watches would no doubt benefit from a service in the future.
The watch is on a new black leather strap with stainless steel buckle. This would make a fantastic addition to any ones watch collection and with such traditional Cartier look with these beautiful sterling silver watches being very rare it is sure to hold if not gain in value.
