In 1947 when this watch was new it would have made an impression on anyone that saw it, bear in mind the average case size for a gents watch was either 30 or 33mm and this measures an impressive 37mm exc crown not only that but the stainless steel case cleverly uses a rose gold bezel to gi ve a luxurious. Feel without the added cost of making the whole case in precious metal no doubt a sign of the times just after the end of the World War Two. The watch runs on the workhorse movement the act 30T2 which powered Omega manual wind watches for decades and today still performs perfectly and is fully guaranteed for 12 months. The pale cream dial is simply decorated with Arabic numerals and the watch comes fitted to a brown leather strap. Perfect for someone looking for a classically styled watch suitable for any occasion.
